cat and dogI got four or five of this same books for my then 5-year old son, he loved it so much, he wanted to do it again and again, so I kept buying it for him. We still have a whole bunch of the dogs in the basement. He did all the previous Kumon books, starting with Cutting book, and then pasting and both craft books. so this was logical next step for him. He needed some help from us with the first dog, but the next ones he did all by himself. All the pieces were clearly marked and there were plenty of picture instructions to know what to do next. The resulting toys were sturdy and quite large.My son gained a lot of manual dexterity from those books, and was the best in his kindergarten class with scissors.

Only 2 cut and paste crafts. They’re adorable, but good for 2 days.I love this! The crafts are super cute, but unlike other books from this company, this book gives you 2, yes, T-W-O crafts to make. I thought maybe it had a whole bunch that were only cats and dogs. Nope. Disappointed, but if you know you’re only buying 2 crafts, you will LOVE them.

Difficult to assembleI feel this was super hard to do for my 6 & 8 year old. They both needed constant help from an adult and, to be honest, I was pretty bad at making them work too! In the end they turned out cut, but maybe just a basic cut and paste is a better way to go.
