We finished the book and I’d like to present it to him again to practice the …Since I’m back here ordering this workbook again, I should probably write a review!Purchased this for my 5-year-old who knows his place value into the thousands, but is not yet facile with handwriting. We finished the book and I’d like to present it to him again to practice the trickier numbers to write, like four and five. The pages at the end of the book that show both how to properly form numerals and also show the concept of the particular number (using dots arranged in groups of 5) are excellent for any child who is ready for that kind of practice.I especially like that the numeral templates are pathways, not dots or dashes. The dot-to-dots in the front of the book are fun as well.Glad I discovered Kumon!

Child will need parental guidanceWriting numbers is presented at the back of the book and there is very little practice. The book starts off with connect the dots (numbers). You will have to sit with your child and say each number with them or listen your child say each number as he or she connect the dots. Otherwise, you will not know for sure if they understand the concept of counting in order and number recognition.

EhDoesn’t really teach or reinforce anything. Just some dot to dots and other simple activities.

Revised Edition No Thank YouThis is a revised edition and it doesnt have as much practice actually writing numbers as the original one. I love Kumon workbooks overall. I wont be purchasing this one for my Early Learning Center again.

As expectedPretty good. Would be nice if it had more repetition in it.
