HelpfulIt was great study material for my kid during the summer

Jumps from topic to topicThis book is not well organized and seems to jump from topic to topic. I wish that they would explain a rule and then have several pages of practice on that specific rule. Instead, many times the same page involves multiple different rules, which makes it confusing to a child who is just learning the rule for the first time. Unfortunately every math book that I’ve found for this grade level is poorly organized so at least this one has a reasonable number of questions on every page.

I think it’s great but my child doesn’tThe book came very quickly but a little bent on the edges. I bought this to help my child get a headstart on Geometry for next year. I like the Kumon books because they teach in steps and build on what you have learned. My child doesn’t care for geometry so is not so thrilled, but is not struggling so that is that. Would buy more in the kumon series.

Great Book!Really good for reviewing geometry during the summer. I suggest getting this one first instead of the regular geometry one. It’s easier and will get your child confident to move on to the more advanced stuff.(I think sometimes parents get a little over zealous and start their kids a little too advanced and they get discouraged—ask me how I know! 🙂

  7. Hmmm

GoodIn general Kumon is good. It’s a nice gateway math teaching method. It fills the missing spot for advanced algebra and geometry

  8. Cee

Book unusable.Book marked up in ink. Can’t use the pages that would be the most helpful.

  9. Texas Two Stepper

CrapWhoever claims this is a good book is a fool. This book was obviously written in one language and then crap translated into English, as the writing is so piss poor that we spend more time trying to figure out what the questions are actually asking, having difficulty with the questions born not from a lack of understanding of the principles of Geometry but, moreover, born from a total lack of comprehension of what the question is actually asking due to the poor translation. Akin to the translation which comes from crap phishing emails….

Kumon Math Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Intro-Geometry, Geometry Will Make Kids Become Math Genius!!!Before I bought Kumon Geometry, I bought a dozen available other Geometry workbook for my 11 year-old son. That was total waste of money. My son finished Kumon Pre-Algebra and Algebra 2 190 page workbooks this summer vacation within 1 month, and suddenly became a Math Genius, since he is only 11 year-old and 5th Grade. And now he found the Kumon Geometry 2 workbooks are exactly the same style, super clear, super easy to follow, and the middle school math suddenly became a piece of cake!!!Actually, I bought all available Kumon workbooks for my son since 2 years ago. He loves it! Math life became so wonderfully simple, and we are very grateful to Kumon Genius Math series…

Good learning; bad grammarWe spent most of our time trying to decipher the directions, and re-phrase them into a sentence structure we could understand. Honestly, some of the directions were so convoluted, we didn’t know what to do. Seems perhaps written by someone for whom English was not a first language?

Private School Geometry CurriculumAs I perused this workbook, I marveled at how this (comprehensive) material is congruent to my (former) private school geometry curriculum.

  16. HOWARD D. SCHIFFMAN

Geometry made simple to understandI love the fact that there are two pagesExcellent review exercises for each topic covered. The lessons are short and to the point.

  17. David

OKThis is a workbook with very limited instructions. A good book for doing a lot of exercises, but not a book to teach and master basic geometry concepts.

  18. Annette White

Great for reviewing subject.I like it because I am using it as a review for my students.

I love the Kumon math and geometry books so far!Love, love, love this book! Again, like some reviews might have mentioned, this is not for application-based learning i.e. there are “impractical” problems in here. However, that is not the reason I bought this book. I bought it to teach my kid a few things – 1. the method is not given to you (this is not a textbook, it is a practice book) 2. you have to apply your head to attain the solution; it is not a simple plug-in and spit out the answer type of book 3. there may be more than one way to get to the answer and most importantly of all… 4. the answer key will not show you how to get to the answer; it will only tell you if your answer is right. There is definitely parent involvement required for this book. I don’t want my kid to be satisfied with getting the correct answers. We sit down and discuss how to solve a problem; then, I ask her to solve a similar one and see if she has understood the concept – applying the method for the previous problem may not work for the new one. She is forced to use her logic skills. That is exactly what I wanted. I could not be happier! Worth every penny for us!

Kann ich nur EmpfehlenMeine Tochter hat richtig Spaß mit den Büchern, es ist auf Englisch, das finde ich nicht als Problem, da wir zweisprachig sind. Die aufgaben sind gut strukturiert und einfach erklärt.
