Fun and engagingOur 5 year old loves the Kumon books. They keep him engaged and entertained. The logic book has a number of activities that make him think logically about patterns and process. He does find it pretty easy though. Would highly recommend to anyone whose child needs help in this subject area and to entertain/give confidence to kids who may be a bit more advanced.

He has really improved at pattern recognition during the past few weeks we’ve been using the book. Nice color pages and cute little pictures too. I love all of the Kumon books!

Very good for Year 1 age group.Yet another great book from KUMON series. I got 2 of them for my twin 5yo daughters, who are about to start Year 1 in school. Overall most of the tasks were just right for them, with a few may be a little too stretching. What I liked most of this book is a good variety of problems. Each type of problems goes through 4-6 pages of progressive complexity. We normally went through them over 2 days. The girls were very interested most of the time and even asked for more.If you haven’t already I suggest you to start with this book first:

This is a good book for childrenThis is a good book for children. It’s picture based so young kids can figure the problems out by themselves with minimal instruction. My 5 year old really enjoys this one and my 3 year old is starting on the pre-k one.

Appropriate for a 3yr old, not kindergarten.I usually love this company, however, this book is totally useless. Most of the book consists of patterns that student needs to finish. These patterns may be hard for a 2 year old, but are definitely way too easy for a kindergartner. Relabel this book for ages 3-5 and it would be great. It was a total waste of money for me.
