Unique conceptThis is a matching game that can be completed with or without consuming the workbook. The book requests the student to circle matches as quickly as possible. In the end the page would just be filled with circles around each item. We just sit together, touch the matches, and work though the book in order. It has been enjoyed by students of ages ranging 2-7 years with adult support.

Nice illustrations, but not my favorite Kumon book…The Kumon Make a Match Level 1 & 2 workbooks are useful in improving vocabulary and identifying matches. I really like this illustrations and my kiddos enjoyed learning about new animals, flowers and foods. The pages are repetitive which is good for reinforcing new vocabulary but can also become boring. I really can’t say that these workbooks added a lot of value to our homeschooling but they were used as a quick break between other subjects. We did not write in the book since I used one book for both kids and had them point to the matches as they said the name. Ages: I would start using this workbook with a three year old. At four years old, my kids were easily bored with these workbooks. Multiple Children: Only one workbook is needed and can be shared.

Definitely worth the PurchaseMy son is only 3 and doesn’t quite hold the pencil so well so we didn’t circle the items. However, I sat next to him while he matched the items and I say his time improve even as the book became more challenging.

A lot of fun, enjoyed by allA lot of fun, enjoyed by all. Good concentration training. –Note, I don’t like many Kumon books, I find them uneven, so this is a real compliment from me.

Not as described conditionI was disappointed with the description of this book. It is a workbook and had previously been written in therefore rendering it not useful to me.

A Refreshing approach to workbooksKumon’s workbooks are amazing. The company really does a great job producing high quality workbooks which are not tedious and boring. Filled with brightly colored pages this workbook does the trick and strengthens both math and logic skills in young children.Normally, I don’t like to use workbooks, but I am finding more and more that Kuman is the exception to this rule. Mainly because they approach learning in a whole different way. From the sticker books to this new gem, Make a Match, Kumon workbooks have worked their way into our hearts and minds

Very good bookMy daughter loves being timed to see how fast she can match the animals up. She’s 4 and the front pages was a bit easy for her, but we are in the middle of the book now and it’s just right!
