It helps building solid calculation foundationI like this book as it gives just the right number of problems. My child felt a bit boring initially comparing with the fun word problems of her online weekly works at Beestar. However a few weeks of repetitive drills helped her remember multiplication facts and made her faster in calculation. Her performance at Beestar was immediately improved, she won more Beestar ribbons significantly. She is very satisfied and be proud of herself. Practicing multiplications will build a solid foundation for our child’s problem solving skills. This book is easier to take with us so it’s nice to have as another resource. I recommend to you, other Beestar parents and my friends. I will buy other books of the Kumon series.

not as good as some reviewers saidI bought this workbook for my daughter while I was teaching her multiplication. Unfortunately, this book is just a bunch of multiplication problems, but there is nothing to help teach multiplication! I can just as easily generate multiplication problems on the computer or even write them out. Also, it was written with number sentences. I wanted to expose her to both number sentences and stacked problems.For improving speed, I simply used the free printable worksheets on the Beestar website. They are probably the best among the many learning sites. Their worksheets are well-designed and have both time and accuracy targets set for your child to practice. If you are like me, you will be glad to find that sometimes free stuff is even better.
